As a corporate retreat used by many employees and their families, we aimed to create a space where guests can relax and unwind amidst lush greenery and crisp, clear air. The large bathhouse and every guest room offer views to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding Mount Fuji.
We needed furniture that could be flexibly arranged in a large space where people could enjoy meals after active pursuits or watch sports on a big-screen TV. Of course, durability and cleanliness of furniture were also key considerations.
The dining table and chairs were chosen for their comfortable seating and lightness. This is because they are often moved around for various purposes, such as parties, not just dining. The meeting space, which is designed for relaxed conversation, is sometimes used for group sports viewing or even drinking party. It features lounge chairs on castors and a striking round table.
In the lounge corner, which is set back a step to provide a quiet space away from larger gatherings, we have selected a gently curved sofa.
