Renovation work was completed on 1 September 2021 at the Suihokai Tajima Clinic, a clinic that has long provided community-based medical care in Ikebukuro.
The primary concept was to create a safe and comfortable space in line with the client’s request for a current medical treatment system. For the interior materials, natural antibacterial flooring, wall materials with chemical-reducing, odour-reducing, moisture-absorbing and antimicrobial properties and natural paints in different colours in each examination room were specified as measures against sick building syndrome. During the conception process, a COVIT outbreak occurred, and the emphasis was placed on making the place a safe and pleasant place for patients, with even greater emphasis on infection control.
