Opening December 15, 2022.
Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan, a 93-year old onsen ryokan in Kyushu has recently completed a new construction and renewal project. The project lasted about 5 years and we participated in as interior decorator.
Located in a national park, the concept of this ryokan is (1) to make the most of the natural landscape, and (2) local-first hospitality. Based on these concepts, we were in charge of the interior design of the main building and bathhouse building, furniture, lighting, and artwork, tightly collaborating with Hikone Architects as well as the owner of the ryokan.
