The West Coast business person bought a second home with an old building that’s been transformed into a cozy second home. While the Japanese winter is a bit chillier than on the West Coast, we put the inner windows with the Intello system. It has been effective in retaining heat during the summer, which is we’ve found a great benefit.
The Japanese room has been tastefully adapted into a Western-style room with the walls and beams have been smoothed out, and it’s a very beautiful result.
The kitchen is a great new addition to the property. We had it skimmed with plaster to enhance its appearance. We removed the woody extension toward the living room side and made the wall opening in the kitchen itself taller and wider, which proved to be a beneficial decision. We also gave all the appliances a fresh white color to unify the look.
As you can see from the photos, even older properties can be transformed into amazing homes!
